Go to Bass Patterns in Minor, Waltz: 0:30 Go to Bass Patterns in Minor, Polka: 1:54 The continuing adventures of Stradella Bass buttonboard exercises! This video contains two exercises: Buttonboard patterns in minor: once waltz, once polka. I play each exercise three times, once slowly, once a little faster, and once a little faster still. You should play through each speed until you can execute it accurately and reliably. Here again I use a perhaps less typical method of playing the minor chord button with my 3rd finger. The 2nd finger is often used. However, this will affect other fingerings down the road, so keep that in mind if you want to use the 2nd finger on minor.
