This video features the success story of Mr. Elmer Turla, a backyard farmer from Villa Aglipay, San Jose, Tarlac.
According to Mr. Turla, he started his backyard farming in 2022. Pigs, ducks, native goats, turkey, etc. can be found in his half hectare farm at the back of his residence.
Without any formal education and technical training in raising farm animals, he managed to become successful in raising, native goats, ducks and pigs. He shared he only started with 5 pigs now turned into 100+ and he earns almost 1 Million within 3-4 months for selling pigs alone.
His farm is also well maintained and less foul odor. With his farm workers, they managed to maintain cleanliness by creating a “septic tank” that catches all waste from his farm animals.
