The Capital Grille is among the most acclaimed chain steakhouses in the USA, and it and Ruth's Chris are frequently mentioned as among the elite of the chain steakhouses. In my opinion though, Ruth's Chris ain't all that. We've reviewed it before on this channel. The Capital Grille though is quite excellent!
Despite being in a steakhouse mecca, the Capital Grille locations in NYC all have excellent reviews. They are all around 4.5 or 4.6 and have thousands of reviews. That's pretty good considering NYC is home to many of the best steakhouses in the world! With that in mind, I resolved to head to the closest Capital Grille near me and try the Capital Grille menu.
I kind of have high standards at this point, having eaten at many of the best steakhouses in NYC and the best steakhouses in America, but I will judge the Capital Grille fairly. I will say how good the Capital Grille is overall, rather than comparing it only against the best steakhouses in New York City which isn't very fair in my opinion. I will be reviewing the Capital Grille steaks and also its delectable Capital Grille Sam's mashed potatoes! The steak we reviewed will be what I presume to be the Capital Grille's best steak, their dry-aged bone-in New York strip strip since it was highlighted as such on the menu!
