During the Cold War, Soviet armored forces had a numerical edge over NATO. The US Army went all-out in designing ways to even the playing field. The M901 Improved Tow Vehicle or ITV was one such effort. This putting an elevating TOW missile launcher on an M113 chassis. I spoke with Will, one of the last soldiers to crew it. It was a very insightful discussion.
