I'm replacing the blown input smoothing capacitor in my Amiga 500's power supply. I give some little tips on how to handle these kind of repairs along the way. I'm also briefly showing off my inability to play Speedball 2.
Note that this is one of the more recent switch mode power supplies for the Amiga series (from the early nineties on, I think). The earlier models were a lot heavier and have a different simpler circuit inside with a classic huge transformer and rectification. Should be easier to fix, because there's a lot more tolerance in the parts there in general.

Another way to support me (without having to spend any more money than you normally would) is to use my Amazon affiliate links.
If you buy stuff on Amazon, you can use the below links to get to your country’s Amazon site and I will get a small share of what you pay there. You can buy whatever you like and use this link as your regular Amazon link if you want to. The price and everything else stays the same for you. I consider this an okay (and easy) way to give me some support.
