Howdy. Today we will take a step through the most beautiful and breathtaking landscapes in Pennsylvania. These images are the canvas for a deep dive into the history of the Amish, the origins of the Anabaptist Movement, different theories regarding the Pennsylvania Dutch, and we will also dive into the concept of “Russian Mennonites”; a large community that still exists in Russia today.
At multiple points before the year 1900, these Russian Mennonites made their way to America, being some of the first Anabaptists to do so, and bringing with them some of the more eccentric and esoteric beliefs of Old World Russia (Tartary).
We will dive into all of that, utilizing the mainstream narrative to find anomalies, hoping to form a deeper understanding of The Amish, and we will also discuss The First World War; when many Germanic peoples, including the Amish were ostracized by the American public, and labeled as being “Huns”. Overall, this is an incredibly detailed video regarding a subject matter that hits very close to home for me.
