You can cycle from Waterloo station just south of the river to Greenwich in south east London entirely on quiet streets and protected cycle lanes.
The route is 9km long (5.5 miles) and makes use of Cycleway 10, Cycleway 4, as well as parts of the Thames path and filtered streets around Waterloo and The Cut.
The journey takes around 30 minutes to ride, which is about the same time as public transport takes.
