You can cycle from Brixton in south London to Stoke Newington in North London in about 50 minutes, almost entirely on quiet streets and protected cycled lanes.
The route is about 9 miles long (15km) and makes use of backstreets around Brixton, Cycleway 6, Quietway 2 (Cycleway 27) and CS1 (Cycleway 1). It also benefits from numerous low traffic neighbours including Stoke Newington LTN, Walworth West LTN and St Peter's LTN.
This journey takes around 50 minutes, which is about as long as you can expect to spending the Tube.
