An Introduction to a Microstrip Patch Antenna Using Ansys HFSS

Antennas transmit signals as an electromagnetic wave and convert it to an electric signal or they receive an electric signal and radiate it as an electromagnetic wave. The knowledge of how these fields propagate is important to understand how to design appropriate antennas.  The antennas for many applications such as 5G, V2X, ADAS are commonly configured as an array of microstrip patch antennas. This video gives an introduction on a mictrostrip patch antenna and details an outline of its geometry.
