A large and exquisite sample of ancient greek inventions from the museum of ancient greek technology
The museum of ancient Greek technology which is located in Katakolo of Ilia (Elis) and tours around the world presenting the excellent and unique technological inventions and constructions of the ancient Greeks presents in this video some of the about 300 creations of Kostas Kotsanas in flawless detail, exact replicas of the ancient technology constructs of our ancestors, many of which are unknown to us and we didn't even know existed. The filming was done in one of the exhibitions of the museum in Trikala, many years ago and it takes us on a journey to the magical and incredible technological world of the ancient Greeks and the unique knowledge and achievements that were made as we could say the basis of the development of today's mechanical constructions in our modern culture.
The exhibition of the museum of ancient Greek technology brings back to life about 300 extraordinary inventions of the ancient Greek technological wonder (from Philo's robot-maid to Heron's cinema and from Ctesibius automatic clock to the analog computer of Antikythera) covering the period from 2000 b.c.E. until the end of the ancient Greek world after 25 years of research and study by Kostas Kotsanas. It is the most valid (since it is based exclusively on the thorough study of the ancient Greek, Latin and Arabic script, the angiographic information and the minimal relevant archaeological finds) and the most complete exhibition of its kind worldwide. All the exhibits and their supporting material have been created by himself without any economical support from any public or private provider.
