Anne Murray remembers meeting Jann Arden for the first time. “I invited Jann to come to my golf club to play golf with me once. She showed up at the golf club in jeans, a lumberjack shirt and boots. And of course they would not let her play golf looking like that, so I had to buy her a whole new outfit. And added to that, she frequently tells lies about me onstage,” she jokingly said while inducting Jann Arden into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
