The cleaver was a smithed one piece. As i wanted to reshape the handle, i cut a little to deep and destroyed it. So i had the idea, to build a new one :) I started with reshaping the blade, because it was in a very bad, used condition. After that i had a little fight with the rust, an electrolysis bath was the best choice i guess. Next step was building a new handle, i used some wood, metal and brass/aluminum bolts for it.
