After completing Boiler City for the first time, you get warped to the game’s hub. The “Warp Room”, per se. (Bliss...) Included in this hub is Brulo and his bar… and he’s not too happy to see Anton, and the feeling is mutual from Anton, too. Profoundly so. This is because Brulo BANNED Anton from the whole place over a humongous unpaid tab that he owed to him. Anton tried to play it off like he just hated the place and wanted to ban himself, anyway, though you can tell it may actually be his favorite place to dick around in. (0:43 - Must be an programming oversight with whose turn it is to talk.) Brulo… made a deal with Anton over the Satanic demons that have infested his establishment. He’ll let Anton use his place as a base of operations towards getting rid of all of Satan's minions. If Anton can manage to do that, then Brulo will forget about the tab and lift Anton’s ban. This also applies to Annie, but Brulo isn’t AS pissed off about having her around compared to Anton. ---------- It looks like everything you want to go to will be accessed through this Warp Room, unless it’s locked out by a shadowy force, that is. If you've played Pizza Tower before, then this will feel a lot like that game's floors with having you explore the area to just reach a level. To further emphasize the Crash Bandicoot comparisons, try touching these dark barriers and see or rather HEAR what happens. (Again, bliss...) Back with Brulo, you get to use the Poker Chips you were able to bring back with you to buy things from him, such as a randomized assortment of Spray Cans, including an extra, cheaper mystery one that you won’t know the colors of until you buy it. There’s also powerups such as a 4th extra heart for health (so THAT’S where it went after the earlier demos!), a pet (Anton’s dog/Annie’s cat) that will pick things up for you during a stage, and further cosmetics such as a TV to shove around, a Cassette Tape, or “Toys” such as a Cowboy Hat, which doesn’t actually change how your character looks, but rather a visual simulation of how YOU would look if you were to wear it for real while playing the game. ---------- Elsewhere in Brulo’s whole establishment, he has an office ran by a sharp-nosed purple lady named Nina Smell (hence that powerful nose of hers). She has enough care to keep track of your stats, such as your playtime, the amount of steps you took, how many times you got hit and killed, how many things you've smashed, how long you’ve screamed, and how many time you’ve maimed her dear husband Danton Small. They do love each other, though, so she must pissed having to see her man suffer so much. ---------- To reach the next stage of a game, you just have to look for it throughout the hub after beating the previous one. I'm mostly going to focus on getting each level's four items, but there are additional modes in each stage that you can try out after you've beaten them the first time around. ---------- I also got an Annie version of meeting Brulo. It’s… surprisingly much less hostile between with her to Brulo, but nonetheless I like how this exists of the slim chance that you chose to start the game out with Annie instead of Anton.
