waves of wind through long grass.
its hilly. the sky is mellow as usual.. but casting rays of intense colors, and the landscape itself paints inky shadows into its deeper parts. The bars of wooden fences are broken, leaving only the posts standing unfettered by gravity and age's cruel whims. A burned ranchhouse. An ivy-choked barn. Patches of plain dirt where a field was driven by overgrazing to barrenness. Singular dawn stars seek empty spaces between clouds to claim crown and kingship over the battlefield of long-standing iconistic cannibals. The battle quietly crawls and creeps on, sun up and sun down. It will never be determined by the last standing, as it is the one hanging down from the sky that commands dominion.
