These two are among history’s most celebrated scientists, but even Einstein himself once wrote in his autobiography [(book, pg.43)] that Newton was a creative genius of the highest order. Newton’s theories were considered absolute truth for over 200 years and are still the foundation of physics education in schools and colleges. Einstein, on the other hand, doesn’t even appear in most curricula until higher education. Ironically, the first person to challenge Newton’s ideas was none other than his deepest admirer—Albert Einstein. If we compare their theories side by side, we’ll find several contradictions. However, Einstein’s Special and General Relativity ultimately proved Newton’s theory of gravity incomplete. Today, the world acknowledges Einstein’s corrections. So, if Einstein himself disproved Newton’s most famous work, why did he still consider him the greatest genius of all time? In this video, we will uncover why Newton’s theories are still taught today, despite being incomplete. What flaws did Einstein find in Newton’s mathematics and explanations, and how did he fix them? And most importantly, what did Einstein see in Newton that made him place him above himself? Get ready—this video will challenge everything you think you know about reality!
