Here's my successful S rank promo for this season, which was my fourth attempt overall.
You can really see the player count decline in effect, as I end up matched against two opponents repeatedly (and a weirdly high number of lightweights overall).
Unfortunately for me, the second of those two was a skilled BVO player, which is one of HAL's worst matchups on account of its pitiful stability--only 1730 (!)--relatively low speed, and slow-to-use weapons, as well as the BVO's absurdly damaging laser slicer combo. I was forced to adapt quickly to keep the promo run alive, leading to some pretty intense matches.
