The free Artisan software is an incredibly powerful software which is often used in professional, commercial roasting. The Hottop roasters are perfectly connected to Artisan so that you can either record your roasts in Artisan or even directly control your machine out of the software. The Hottop coffee roasters are among the best coffee roasters for small quantities. They are very popular with home roasters for whom precision and repeatability of roasts are important. At the same time, they are used by many commercial roasters to develop roasting profiles. Because they are small drum roasters that transfer heat in the same way as a large drum roaster (convection/conduction), they are suitable for developing roasting profiles with small quantities of beans, which are then transferred to the production roasters.
The recording and storage of the profiles in Artisan makes the work much easier. The roasts are documented in the program and important control parameters such as the Rate of Rise or the Roast Development Time % are calculated and recorded live.
