Hi, guys! Today, I made some Sweet and Spicy Soy sauce-marinated Scallops & Salmon! I reused the soy sauce I boiled once after making shrimp and crab marinades, and it made everything so quick and easy to prepare! 🫢🧡 For the salmon marinade, I cut the salmon into thick slices, and some pieces were sliced long, almost like salmon noodles! As for the scallops, I marinated whole pen-shell scallops. This is my first time trying marinated pen shell scallops, and I’ve always been curious about it, just imagining how it might taste! The moment I took a bite, I was blown away! The texture was so unique, and the flavor was incredible! The sweet and salty soy sauce, with a spicy kick (thanks to a generous amount of Vietnamese and Korean chilies), paired perfectly with the mild flavor of the pen shell scallops. The texture was both crisp and irresistibly appealing. It was SO GOOD!!! As for the salmon marinade, it was like jelly! It was so chewy, bouncy, and springy. And the texture just clings to your mouth in the best way possible. And of course, the salmon wasn’t fishy or greasy at all. The soy sauce seeped in perfectly, so it tasted HEAVENLY!!! I paired everything with cute little mini fried egg rice balls and even wrapped some with half-cooked fried eggs, and it was paradise! 👀✨ Oh, and the toasted seaweed was a great way to finish today’s meal. I intentionally made the soy sauce less salty, and it turned out just right! Honestly, these marinades are so flavorful! I bet you could enjoy them even without rice. If you’re a fan of soy sauce-marinated seafood, you MUST try scallop marinade! The bouncy scallops will give you an unforgettable experience! Thank you so much for watching today!
