For the past several years I have used three different computer programs – Autostakkert, Registax and Photoshop – to process my planetary and lunar images. But recently, thanks to one of my subscribers, I learned about a free program called AstroSurface that allows me to replace all three with one simple, straightforward, free program. In this video, I will show you how I processed three different images of Saturn, Jupiter and the Moon with this program and then give you my honest evaluation of what I liked and what I didn’t like about it. If you are a user of AstroSurface, I would like to encourage you to leave some of your tips or suggestions in the replies. I very new to this program, so I’d love to hear more about the workflow that others are using to process their images or how to use some of the features that I did not cover in this video.
