At what age do we stop growing?

Growth takes place at different rates and occurs differently for each individual, so it is not always easy to predict when it will end. The child during puberty goes through several changes, some can be embarrassing or confusing, but the process happens to everyone and knowing what to expect can help.

How can I identify height problems in a child?

Mom and Dad, identify if your child has these signs.

-Does not change the size of clothes or shoes at least once a year
-Most growth problems are noticed when the child seems smaller than his classmates.
-The youngest son is reaching or exceeding him in height
-If your child is simply the shortest compared to other children of the age
-If your height slows down for several months or has stagnated.

Did you detect one or more indicators in your child? Then it would be worth taking him for an evaluation to rule out any condition that is preventing him from growing properly. If the result is that his bone age is simply less than his chronological age, then it will only be a matter of time to see him grow. But if they find any pathology, it is very important to treat them as soon as possible because that will affect their final height. Remember that the time limit is puberty.
