We made it 250 miles. The entire route from Denver to Durango was our goal. Until it wasn't. We flew from SLC to Denver with our bikes tucked in boxes, assembled them outside the airport, took the train as far south as it would go, and rode the rest of the way to a hotel in Littleton. The next morning we embarked on our big bike ride... or, as it would be occasionally, our big hike. Follow our 9 day bikepacking journey from Littleton to Buena Vista, where we make the brutal decision to head back home. Getting back to Utah from Buena Vista by bike posed a bit of a logistical nightmare, but we were able to take the incredible Bustang (@ridebustang4729 ) to Denver and rent a car from there. Huge shoutout to @ColoradoDOT for investing in the Bustang and the rural communities of Colorado.
