Introducing Auburn Infinity, a channel for classic Auburn Tigers games and videos brought into the 21st Century with modern hardware and enhanced via Artificial Intelligence. On the 30th anniversary of one of Auburn's greatest but least-seen wins, we are proud to inaugurate Auburn Infinity by presenting the Holy Grail of AU video: the 1993 Auburn-Florida game. On October 16, 1993, Terry Bowden’s first Auburn team shocked the nation as the lightly-regarded Tigers knocked off Steve Spurrier and his #4 ranked Florida Gators en route to a magical undefeated season. The game was untelevised, and the only recordings of it were made by primitive VHS decks in a few Jordan-Hare Stadium luxury boxes. Until now, the only available sources for this game came from high-generation copies of copies from that tiny handful of tapes. This recording, including play-by-play audio from Jim Fyffe and color commentary by Charlie Trotman, was sourced from a tape sent out by the athletic department to a few major donors. It has been digitized on high-quality modern hardware, and then upscaled to high definition and enhanced using sophisticated Artificial Intelligence software tools. While no amount of technology could turn a 30-year-old VHS recording into a perfect digital picture (as all Auburn fans know, you can’t polish a turd), this is by far the best quality video of a critical moment in Auburn history that’s been seen since the day the game was played. Enjoy, and War Eagle.
