1 rump steaks
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp dried oregano
2 tbsp capers (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh basil

Prep the Steaks: Season the rump steaks with salt and pepper. In a large skillet sear the steak over medium-high heat for 2-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked medium rare. Remove from the skillet and set aside to rest.

Combine and Cook: Return the steak juices to the sauce, nestling them into the sauce. Cover and let simmer on low heat for a few minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and whilst the steaks to become tender resting.

Serve: Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot with your favorite side dish.
