Video Not Working? Fix It Now

As prices for manual JZX Mark II, Chaser, and Cresta continue to soar, some may find it more feasible to purchase an automatic JZX and use the savings towards a manual swap. Automatic cars are also generally not quite as beaten on as manuals. This guide will show how to perform an auto to manual conversion. We will be removing our original automatic A340 transmission for a new CD009/JK41B 6 speed transmission in this video. The process is generally the same for all manual transmission swaps. ________________________________________ Notes: ~Consider changing your rear main seal while you're here. 1JZ/2JZ OEM part number: 90311-90006 ~Bedding in the clutch is very important. It's extremely tempting to want to drive hard after all this work but be patient. A poorly bedded and glazed clutch will feel like your car is low on power and your new clutch won't ever perform like it should. ~Be aware early CD009's are known for synchro issues. I highly recommend saving up a bit more cash and opt for a JK41A/B which is a revised CD009 with added and upgraded synchros. https://cdn.z1motorsports.com/upload/Z1_VQ_Transmission_Guide.pdf ________________________________________ Supplement videos: ~CD adaptor tutorial: https://youtu.be/oC4GRmLxBAg ~Speedometer: https://youtu.be/CpOkhzbVK9o ~Dead Pedal: https://youtu.be/f7V3kEtcmtA ~ Hoonigan's JZX90 R154 swap: https://youtu.be/8HI_wMvsTzA ~Kazuya Taguchi's JZX90 CD009 swap: https://youtu.be/ikoUYHKTpkE ~Black Anvil Garaage's R154 swap: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCLPRX_ZtuA ________________________________________ Parts: ~ The FRP transmission tunnel was purchased from Climb-Gear.com ~ All these swap parts can add up so take your time shopping for the best prices to save where you can. I'll admit at the time I felt I was in a pretty good place financially and didn't try too hard shopping around. This is a terrible mindset to have. Don't do this. ALWAYS save where you can. Also sometimes waiting till Black Friday pays off.
