This was my last trip to the Needles Lighthouse on the Isle of Wight. It was 1994 and the automation of the Needles was in progress. Instead of the usual 3 Keepers, we were now just 2 Keepers on the Lighthouse and 2 Trinity house Technicians. The Lighthouse was being changed forever, so hopefully my previous videos will have preserved something to look back on.
This isn't the full automation of the Needles by any means, it is just my record of some of the automation work that was in progress when I was sent there on duty.
