“Erbarme dich, mein Gott” [Have mercy, Lord, on me] is one of the best-known arias from Bach’s St Matthew Passion. Here, Baptiste Trotignon has reinterpreted the evocation of solitude, tears and grief in a jazz version. Trotignon also performs several preludes and fugues from The Well-Tempered Clavier.
