Backpacking/fishing trip to Lawn Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. The hike is 12.4 miles roundtrip, but we broke it up into 2 days by camping at the Golden Banner backcountry site about 2 miles into the hike. These backcountry campsites can be reserved through the backcountry office in RMNP. We saw a lot of wildlife and were the only people at the lake for most of the time. Highly recommend this hike if you enjoy fishing. The greenback cutthroat trout here are plentiful!
