This is a short but STEEP ascent to two beautiful lakes in Montana's Swan Range which is split by regular FS land to the west and Designated Wilderness to the east (Bob Marshall). Upper Rumble Creek lake is beautiful and full of flowers. Both Rumble Creek Lakes have LOTS of fish as well, but you must pay the price to fish there, that's for sure! Over 1,000 feet of gain per mile. Going down is harder than going up!
