The Bail Pola falls on the Pithori Amavasya of Sawan Maas. On this day, farmers worship and thank their cattle for helping them in getting their bread and butter. The festival is celebrated with incredible joy in Maharashtra and is sometimes referred to as the Pola Marathi festival.
