Wowzers! What a morning at Honokohau Harbor! We had so much non-stop action it was one of those ridiculously awesome days of shore diving! We found the bait ball of akule (big eye scad) and there were 50+ blue fin trevally's (omilu) cooperatively hunting it. So mesmerizing to watch the akule bob and weave as the jack's plan their attack. Then there was a big group of spinner dolphins frolicking, multiple turtles (or honu's) at the cleaning station, a flyby of a young, male manta (named "Black Diamond"), some small macro critters spotted - including a rare for Kona, squat anemone shrimp and a young spanish dancer nudibranch. And to top it all off, Kona's celebrity, resident frog fishes Waldo & Kermit took a swim together.
