His guru was Shri Brajabasi kailashpati. His Devotion was strong from his childhood. He was an Indian Hindu Tantric and he lived in Tarapith- Birbhum. He was a devotee of Goddess Tara and he call her Boro maa- its mean Mother of all. Bamdev Baba performed sadhana in Tarapith Mahashamshana. He was a contemporary of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsadev.
