1991 BBC2 broadcast of the original made for television 1977 version of the British film SCUM by Roy Minton, directed by Alan Clarke. The film SCUM was set in an English Borstal which was a youth detention centre of the time and depicted the harsh treatment, violence & brutality of such places, subsequently banned from ever being shown by BBC bosses of the time.

This was the first & last time it was broadcast on UK TV, this film remained locked in BBC vaults & this is the introduction by Writer/Director David Leland recorded on 27th July 1991. A piece of British TV history.

Original upload included longer clips from film but YouTube flagged as restricted & wouldn't have been shown here in the UK, had to cut a few bits out.
