Hello everyone,
This is a vlog of my experiences in Ili, Xinjiang, China, home to a large community of the Uyghur ethnic minority in China. As some may know, the Uyghurs are the center of extensive political controversy, and I want to acknowledge that.
However, a value of my channel is to put preconceptions and geopolitics aside and experience a place for myself. Focusing not on politics and governments, but the life of the people. This video simply captures my real and raw experiences on this particular day, and I want to share my experiences with the world.
I don’t want to clickbait, rage-bait, sensationalize, or perpetuate stereotypes. And I’ve tried to be very intentional in every step of my video process, trying not to sacrifice integrity or honesty while maintaining an interesting and engaging reflection of my experience.
