Part 2 of my exploration of the historic pubs of the London borough of Islington. This time covering the more northern bits of Islington, and the Barnsbury area. Three more on @CAMRAOFFICIAL's list of historic pub interiors, and one on their list of outstanding conversions and renovations.
As always, a look at the pubs' histories, exteriors and interiors, and a brief chat about the beer offering. Along the way we meet Samuel Pepys again, ponder what "Queen Anne style" really means and delve into a bit of Greek mythology with the story of Diana and Actaeon.
