In this freeCAD Surfacing tutorial we will learn how to make a handle grip using the surface workbench and part wb. Often we need to add extra faces to our model to facilitate additional edges for reference and attachment, we will understand one process of achieving this with boolean fragments and the projection tool to project a wire to split a face creating additional geometry that we can use. In the process of creating this build we will explorer a number of ways to make a shell of surfaces into a solid, giving options such as - using the part workbench offset 3D tool, - using part wb non-parametric solid conversion, and if the thickening fails - we will use the new scale options in part in 0.22 /v1.0. We will also explore the make parametric solid / shell options in the Curves Workbench for more flexibility over your models demonstrating how changes can be made in your model along with the resulting solid automatically updating. #freecad , #freecadtutorial , #3dprinting Journey with me and Patreon https://www.patreon.com/mangojellysolutions Donate: https://ko-fi.com/mang0 https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/darrenbestone Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUWhaOxsRk_5oPPq00_Y7Dw?sub_confirmation=1 Browse my Redbubble Shop: http://MangojellyLabs.redbubble.com Blog: https://mangojellysolutions.blogspot.com/
