Lake Mead is experiencing heavy drought from over usage and climate change which is impacting the Colorado River. 80% of the Never Summer snow melt goes to the Western slope but 80% of the Colorado population lives on the Eastern slope. In this video we visit the Continental Divide and the birthplace of the Colorado River and the water collection and diversion system called the Grand Ditch which diverts snow melt water from the Never Summer Mountains to the Eastern slope.
