A whippet, beagle/spaniel cross and some ferrets are out to take on New Zealands rabbit pest problem. Rabbits are a huge pest in New Zealand, threatening native wildlife. Rabbits young and old need to removed.
Introduced by European settlers in the 1830s and 1840s for food and sport hunting, rabbits quickly thrived due to the lack of natural predators and the suitable environment. By the late 19th century, their population had exploded, causing significant ecological damage and agricultural losses. Efforts to control their numbers, including the introduction of biological agents like myxomatosis and rabbit hemorrhagic disease, have been ongoing, but the European rabbit remains a persistent problem in New Zealand's landscape.

For Youtube Review - This video is edited in a self explanatory way for all languages to understand. People under the age of 18 also practice ferreting and I aim to set a mature example. Contact between the animals is brief and is not the focus of the video. Rabbit dispatches are not shown. No blood or gore is present.
