My life was empty, scary, and had no joy in it. I hated who I was but could not change no matter how hard I tried. Nothing satisfied me. I did anything I could to not have to feel how I felt.
Jesus changed that for me forever. Reading the Bible broke my heart and remade it. Everything I thought I knew about God changed. After believing what I read and giving my life to Him He started making me a new person.
I avoided reading the Bible all my life because I was afraid of doing what God said rather than what I wanted. I was also crippled with doubt. I didn't realize that knowing Him would give me peace and joy beyond description.
No one is ever too far gone for Jesus. He knows that we are weak and terrible. Please see this as a sign to try reading the Bible and see what you think.
