Video Not Working? Fix It Now

In this video I stop to talk to my good friend Richard Noel while on our holiday in France. We were only staying an hour away from Richard so it would have been rude not to visit! That and I really wanted to see his new Beekeeping shed again. We talk about how the season has been in France for the 2024 beekeeping season. They suffered a bad spring like we did in the UK and many colonies came close to starvation...some did in the region. But thankfully Richard has been able to get a decent summer crop of honey in. We looked at his bee shed and how its changed since last year. The first thing I noticed was the very impressive pallet racking. This created so much space and efficient storage space for Syrup, beehives and frames. Richard had invested in a lot of manual handling equipment to make the work easier and protect his back. (we all know how heavy and hard beekeeping can be). We take a look at his new electric telescopic pallet mover, Honey Barrel mover and Super lifter in the honey house - manufactured by French company Ruchers du Bassigny; https://www.ruchersdubassigny.fr Richard had recently purchased two breeder queen bees from Apis Donau thats hes planning to use for some nucs. Interestingly hes purchased one Carnica and one Buckfast. It would be interesting to see which one turned out best. https://apis-donau.com To find out more about me you can visit my Website on; https://gwenyngruffydd.co.uk Or find me on Social Media on @GwenynGruffydd
