In this video I show you how to knit a snood alternating in rows of Knit and Purl stitch known as Stocking Stitch.
YOU WILL LEARN THE FOLLOWING:
- How to cast on
- The Stocking Stitch Pattern
- How to cast off your knitting
- How to weave in the loose ends after knitting
- How to sew your snood together
I've also written a FREE knitting pattern for this Snood that you can download on my website or from my Ravelry store at the following:

I used 1 x 50g ball of Sirdar Country Classic DK in shade 864 - Duck Egg Blue
You can purchase the yarn from the following website:
https://www.woolwarehouse.co.uk/yarn/sirdar-country-classic-duck-egg-blue-864-50g
You'll also need a pair of 4mm (U.S. #7) knitting needles, an embroidery needle and scissors for cutting the yarn.
The finished snood in this example measures 21.5cm (8.5in) in width (unstretched) and 48cm (19in) in length.
This is a beginners guide to knitting series (Episode 2) and I will be providing further FREE video tutorials incorporating a fun knitting project as we progress through the different types of knit stitches and patterns.
