Today I am going to be showing you how to make your own strawberry jam and then how to can it to make it shelf stable. This video is a little longer than usual as I show you step by step how to do it. This recipe is so easy you can use fresh OR frozen strawberries. This is so delicious I have to make extra for family and friends. I just can't seem to keep it on my pantry shelves. I have left some links to some good canning resources. I will also link the altitude adjustments below as well.
Altitude adjustments for waterbath canning time:
If you are boiling at an altitude higher than 1,000 feet above sea level, adjust boiling water processing time as indicated.
Altitude Feet Increase Processing Time
1,001- 3,000 5 minutes
3,001- 6,000 10 minutes
6,001- 8,000 15 minutes
8,001-10,000 20 minutes
