Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Once upon a time I owned a complete PPG system: Wave 2.3, EVU, PRK, and Waveterm A. It's my favorite synth of all time, and fortunately I logged all of my custom sounds on paper before selling it all in 2003. The Behringer Wave duplicates the PPG's original parameters so l can once again have those sounds available, with a beautiful blue panel full of knobs to tweak in their same original layout.

In 2003 I sold my PPG system, but still have the isolated PPG tracks that I recorded in 1998. For this video the Behringer Wave was loaded with my PPG presets for a direct comparison.

The PPG tracks from 1998 are first, followed by the live Wave output

I’m super impressed with the Behringer Wave The PPG presets loaded into the Wave sounded very close to the PPG. I’m sure that with some tweaking they can be virtually identical.
