This week I'm beginning another short series of tutorials to help you develop your chisel skills. In this segment, I introduce a small project that helps in that regard.
We're starting off the series with everyone's favorite, chop cuts. Let's face it, wood is a stringy, fibrous material. Without the ability to accurately sever those fibers, woodworking becomes nearly impossible. Enter the chop cut.
The task presented in the video gives you a pretty good introduction to chop cuts. You'll see me demonstrate, and briefly explain, how to make accurate chop cuts while performing a very specific task.
