Dear new Vinyl Users and FRIENDS, i hear you: you want affordability, you want plug and play, you are scared of turntable setups, you want retailer back-up in case of cartridge change and alignment issues, you want affordability and yet respectability, you want premium good sound that stands up to the big boys in audio, you want something that will grow with you. And being a vinyl first guy that is me, this system must also provide a sound that gets me attracted into vinyl, and keeps me engaged in vinyl playback.
Here i present to you two systems, one of which is the one to have.
For the many young vinyl adopters, this video is for you.
You want to get into vinyl and with a full setup: plug and play, vinyl, blue tooth, amplification and speakers, and, my response:
1) I here, do not want you to get in and get disappointed with sound that is much poorer than the digital platform you can stream, you have on your handphone or on a CD,
Remember that vinyl playback is a labour of love, with inconveniences, taking in and out the records from your rack, the care you need handling them, the time you need to clean them, the relative higher cost of records that will be a turn off if the sound quality doesn't impress, and the space your records will eat up in your dorm room and home.
The sound quality MUST be good enough, if not better than that of the common digital platforms, convey that analogue naturalness and beauty, with clarity and dynamism, with low/no noise and muddiness.
and 2) I believe you will not want to settle for less, nor bear the possibility that you are not respected with your choices, even if you welcome to your home your uncle or older cousin who is an experienced audio enthusiast. I will thus hereby recommend to you a system....they will come over, listen and they will nod their heads in approval at your system, respecting you for your choice and also enjoying the music thoroughly, and perhaps EVEN taking a cue from you and getting one for themselves or their children!!!!
