Which food storage containers are the best? To find out, I put seven popular sets to the test, including Rubbermaid EasyFindLids, Amazon Basics, Rubbermaid Brilliance, Pyrex Snapware Total Solution, OXO Good Grips Smart Seal, Pyrex Ultimate, and Caraway. I tested each container for leaks by shaking it upside down with water inside, and for airtightness by submerging it in water and checking for bubbles. I microwaved tomato sauce to see if it stained, stored garlic to test for lingering odors, froze them overnight to check for warping or cracking, and baked them in the oven if they were labeled oven-safe. I also opened and closed each one 300 times to see how the latches held up.
