Video Not Working? Fix It Now

In this video, we tackle a heated debate: has Bethesda really fallen off? Recently, critics have claimed that Starfield marks the culmination of years of decline, painting Bethesda as a studio stuck in its old ways, more focused on hype than delivering the rich RPG experiences they were once known for. But I disagree with that. I believe Bethesda hasn't fallen off at all—they're still doing what they’ve always done. Sure, you can argue that they’ve failed to innovate as much as other top studios, but to say they’ve lost their way? That's not entirely accurate. We’ll explore the industry-wide trend toward simpler game design, looking at developers like Rockstar and CD Projekt Red. In doing so we look at GTA, what GTA 6 could be like, what current and the future (The Witcher 4) of The Witcher games look like and more. These studios, while creating more accessible games, have proven that simplifying mechanics doesn’t necessarily mean sacrificing depth. And when we turn back to Bethesda, I argue that their move toward streamlining systems in games like Skyrim and Fallout 4 isn’t as different from the rest of the industry as people claim. Furthermore Skyrim and Fallout 4 Modding, goes heavily unnoticed when we go into discussing what made Bethesda Game Studios so successful. And why Starfield Mods could be the key to making the game a success. So, has Bethesda stopped innovating? Maybe. Probably. But are they still capable of delivering incredible RPG experiences? Absolutely. But we need more. Join me as we explore whether Bethesda is still at the top of its game—or if they're just stuck in the past.
