The Headwaters Trail connects packhorse tracks, drovers lanes and greenways along a route to the moors where three rivers rise on an adventure through the Yorkshire Dales, onto the broad floodplain of the Aire valley and onto the edge of the Peak District before returning to the folds of the South Pennines. The route is 325km with an event weekend on 3rd - 5th May 2025 from Mytholmroyd in the Calder Valley in West Yorkshire. There is a 250km route option. The event has a bikepacker or campsite option and just like our sister event - the Calder Divide Trail - there's pie n peas at the finish line and an embroidered cloth badge to mark your adventure.
