Mike Stinnett shows how he carved a small black bear sitting on a highly detailed, carved and painted, rock formation. The bear was made from a piece of tupelo wood and is mounted to a base which was also made from tupelo that has been carved to look like a rock formation. The base features a small recess where keepsakes can be displayed. On the rock's face is a hint of Native American petroglyphs, and within the recess is a small arrowhead, reminiscent of the many people over time who may have visited that cliff to sit and think, just as the bear is doing now.
