I think this video legally counts as a microaggression and now I'm awaiting lawsuit from Bluestar's estate.
It wasn't until AFTER I'd already scripted & recorded the whole video that my friend said "you know what'd be fucked up? if Mosskit was Bluestar's only point kitten, thus the one that looked most like her. You got what you wanted, Bluestar - no one will ever suspect! :)" and by god if I had heard that before getting this far...................
Any dumbass who comments "Bluestar's a Russian Blue she has blue eyes!!!" is going to get a link to Russian Blue breed standards (they have GREEN eyes) and a very tired paragraph about how a cat isn't a breed unless they descend from ONLY that breed's tightly-regulated closed genepool. Yeah two random moggies are gonna suddenly pop out a purebred offspring. uh huh. sure. not even dogs can do that, dude.
To elaborate more on making Shellheart smoke: black smokes & low-rufous black tabbies both don’t look convincingly blue, but I’ve had enough ppl call black tabbies “gray” for it to piss me off. Basically, this is the decision that’s not perpetuating a common misconception. ...That being said, I should've made him silver, LOL. I think his wiki art just reminded me of a smoke too much to think of it. Oh well! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
