For generations, companies like Stamas, Parker, Grady White, etc. were respected boat builders that were privately owned and run.
In recent years. there's been a trend for family owned, private boat companies to be bought by larger companies, often publicly traded or private equity firms.
The one outlier: Bluewater Boats located in Ft. Pierce.
